In a remarkanle dislay of leadership and commitment to community development , the chairperson of Onigbongbo local council development area “LCDA” Barr Rekiyah Olufunke Hassan has embarked on an ambitious infrastructural development project, aimed at transforming the landscape of the council area.
In a bold move, Barr Rekiyah Hassan on Wednesday 19th of February flagged off simultaneously resurfacing and laying of asphalt on three streets in the council area.
This project which is ongoing will bring a new lease of life to the affected communities , ease transportation and enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of the environment.
FLAGGING OFF TWO NEW PROJECTS IN OREGUN
In a continuation of her developmental stride, Barr Rekiyah on Friday 21st of February accompanied by her team visited and flagged off two new projects in Oregun , namely, the resurfacing of SADATU Street and. OREMETA Street with paving stones complete with brand new drainage system. These projects which are expected to be completed within five months will further enhance the infrastructural development of the council area.
HOMAGE TO ONIGBONGBO APC PARTY LGA CHAIRMAN
During the visit, Barr Rekiyah and her team paid homage to the Onigbongbo LCDA APC Party LGA Chairman Alhaja Aminat Iyabode Akerele who resides on the street and doubles as a landlady . The LGA Party cjairman prayed for the chairperson, demonstrating her respect and appreciation for the chairperson. The treasurer of the street association Mr Ifesanya Olufemi, Alhaja Mutiat Oladapo, CAN Chairman Rev Oyeleso, Chief Imam Oseni also prayed fervently for the chairperson..
MEETING THE RESIDENTS REPRESENTATIVES
The council chairperson Barr Rekiyah also met with the residents representativrs on OREMETA Street in persons of Akoogun Kola Onadipe, Mrs Ajala, Mrs Dairo, and Mrs Akinubi who according to Akoogun is the eldest resident and landlady of over fifty years. They explained the pressing issues affecting the street while Akoogun later thanked Barr Rekiyah for keeping her promises, a testament for her commitment to the welfare and well being of the people.

As the council area continues to witness unprecedented transformation under the leadership of Barr Rekiyah Hassan, the chairperson has assured the constituents that more developmental projects are still in the pipeline.
