Ivorian Influencer Reportedly Dies in Nigeria as Husband Denies BBL Claims

The husband of Ivorian influencer Fatim Bakayoko has disputed reports that she travelled to Nigeria for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedure, following reports of her death in the country.

Bakayoko, who was based in Abidjan and known for her work in the beauty and wellness industry, was initially reported by Scoop Afrique to have travelled to Nigeria for cosmetic surgery.

The report said information about her death was initially provided by a source described as a close family member.

However, a later report quoted Bakayoko’s husband as denying that she underwent plastic surgery in Nigeria.

According to her husband, Bakayoko travelled to Nigeria for personal care and not for a cosmetic procedure. He did not disclose the nature of the care she sought or explain what led to her death.

He also said her body remained in Nigeria at the time of his clarification.

The exact circumstances surrounding Bakayoko’s death have not been established, and there has been no confirmed information linking her death to any surgical procedure.

The conflicting accounts have raised questions about the purpose of her trip to Nigeria and the events preceding her reported death.

Further details are expected as more information becomes available.
