His contributions to Iwo’s cultural and civic life were significant. He served as the first Chairman of the Iwo Day Celebrations and was a member of both the First and Second Iwo Board of Trustees. During the 2006 National Population Census, he personally supported logistics and coordination efforts, a contribution that helped Iwo emerge as the most populous local government area in Osun State.
