Onigbongbo LCDA Boosts Education with School Supplies
On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) launched a major education support initiative.
The event featured the distribution of essential school materials to all public schools within the LCDA. Executive Chairperson, Barr. Rekiyah Olufunke Hassan, initiated the program to strengthen learning in the council.
Council Manager, Mr. Abiodun Osineye, welcomed guests. He praised the initiative and called pupils “future leaders.” He urged them to use the materials wisely.
Vice Chairman, Hon. Taofik Ayinla Olorunfunmi, represented the chairperson. He delivered her message to the gathering.
In the speech, the chairperson emphasized the importance of education and healthcare. She reaffirmed her commitment to serve the community.
Also present, Mrs. Fatilewa, representing the Head of Support (HOS), commended the LCDA. She described it as one of the most education-focused local governments.
The Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Olabisi Anifowoshe, gave the closing remarks. He assured teachers and pupils of continued support from the council.
