On Wednesday 7, May 2025, the Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) witnessed a significant event as the Executive Chairperson Barr. Rekiyah Olufunke Hassan ,flagged off the distribution of essential educational materials to all public schools within the council area.
In his welcome address, the council manager Mr Abiodun Osineye emphasized the chairperson’s commitment to giving back to the pupils , describing them as the future leaders. He urged the students to utilize the materials effectively , encouraging the government to do more.
The vice chairman Hon. Taofik Ayinla Olorunfunmi , represented the chairperson at the ceremony.
Delivering the chairperson’s speech, the vice chairman emphasized that every students deserves access to quality education and healthcare. He assured the students , teachers, and broader community of the administration”s commitment to making a positive impact.
Mrs Fatilewa representing the Head Of Support (HOS) praised Onigbongbo LCDA as one of the best local governments , highlighting its dedication to education .
The Secretary to the local government”SLG” Hon. Wasiu Olabisi Anifowoshe in his closing remarks ,revealed the council’s plans for the future, promising to do more for both pupils and teachers on behalf of the chairperson.
