According to KDI\u2019s preliminary assessment, the observations suggest that where the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) devices functioned properly, the accreditation process was completed relatively quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, the organisation said it would continue to assess whether the reported technical challenges were isolated incidents or indicative of systematic delays that could create barriers to voter participation in certain locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
KDI also noted that the relatively low number of verified violence-related incidents recorded as of noon was encouraging.
It said it would, however, continue to monitor the security situation throughout the electoral process, with particular attention to distinguishing between isolated incidents, geographically concentrated cases and broader systemic patterns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The organisation stressed that the assessment was based on reports available to its Election Day Data Room (EDDR) as of the stated cut-off time and remained subject to further verification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
