WHAT HAPPENED<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On August 10, 2025, a Nigerian woman endured the following inside an Ibom Air aircraft & at the airport:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Blocked from exiting the plane without lawful cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Physically assaulted & manhandled in public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stripped and humiliated -her dignity violated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Detained without due process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Arraigned in public disgrace without legal counsel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is not \u201caviation protocol\u201d – this is jungle justice at 35,000 feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Civil Aviation Obligations \u2013 Civil Aviation Act 2022 & NCAA Regulations<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Supreme Court in A.G. Lagos v. Keita (2016): Any unlawful restraint is actionable.
Supreme Court in Ibrahim v. COP (2014): You have a right to resist false imprisonment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
WHO IS LIABLE ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ibom Air \u2013 for its crew\u2019s unlawful acts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Minister : for prejudicial, unconstitutional interference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Security operatives – for assault & unlawful detention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
WE DEMAND:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Immediate release & medical check-up of the victim.
2- Public apology from Ibom Air & relevant agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3-Not less than \u20a6250M compensation for physical, emotional & reputational damage.
4- Prosecution of all culpable staff.
5- NCAA sanctions against Ibom Air.
6- Presidential Task Force on Passenger Rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
FINAL WORD<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A customer is KING. Ibom Air treated one like trash : with state backing.
This brutality is a national disgrace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We must send a loud, clear message: In Nigeria, the skies are ruled by LAW, not LAWLESSNESS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Your Excellency, Nigerians are watching. Justice must not just be done -it must be seen to be done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
