Announced on <strong>World Sickle Cell Day<\/strong>, the new project\u2014called <strong>5 Star Care<\/strong>\u2014will provide <strong>free health insurance coverage for 1,000 sickle cell patients<\/strong> in Lagos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The artist made the announcement via Instagram on Thursday, describing the initiative as a personal mission rooted in his own journey with sickle cell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cToday is World Sickle Cell Day. And today, I\u2019m proud to announce something that\u2019s deeply personal to me,\u201d Adekunle Gold wrote. \u201cWe\u2019re starting small by providing free health insurance to 1,000 people living with sickle cell in Lagos State. But this is only the beginning.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <em>Free health insurance Nigeria<\/em> initiative is being rolled out through the <strong>Adekunle Gold Foundation<\/strong>, in partnership with the <strong>Lagos State Ministry of Health<\/strong>, the <strong>Lagos State Health Management Agency<\/strong>, and the <strong>Sickle Cell Management Initiatives<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a heartfelt video accompanying the post, Adekunle Gold emphasized the importance of access to quality care regardless of background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c5 Star Care isn\u2019t just an initiative\u2014it\u2019s a promise,\u201d he said. \u201cA promise to ensure sickle cell warriors are seen, heard, and cared for.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The singer explained that the <em>Free health insurance Nigeria<\/em> project aims to relieve the <strong>financial burden<\/strong> associated with managing the lifelong condition, allowing more people to get quality healthcare without unnecessary stress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOur goal is simple: to ease the financial burden of managing sickle cell and help more people get the care they deserve,\u201d he said. \u201cAs someone who\u2019s walked this path, I know how powerful it is to have the right support.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eligible individuals are encouraged to register through the foundation\u2019s official website.
