According to a statement from the Presidency, the visit will include a town hall meeting with traditional rulers, political leaders, religious figures, youth groups, and community stakeholders. In anticipation of the visit, President Tinubu has already dispatched key government officials to Benue, including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), the Inspector General of Police, heads of intelligence agencies, the National Security Adviser, and the Chairmen of the Senate and House Committees on Defence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n President Tinubu has previously expressed deep concern over the recurring violence in Benue State. He has called for an end to hostilities and urged all residents and leaders to embrace peace, unity, and reconciliation. In his earlier statements, he offered condolences to those who have lost loved ones and livelihoods in the crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The President was initially scheduled to visit Kaduna on Wednesday, June 18, to commission key state government projects.
