The Oyo State House of Assembly has passed a motion calling for the re-introduction of extracurricular organizations in public primary and secondary schools to promote discipline, leadership, and community service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The motion, titled \u201cNeed for the Executive Arm of Government to Re-introduce Extracurricular Organizations in Public Primary and Secondary Schools to Promote Discipline, Leadership, and Community Service,\u201d<\/em> was sponsored by Hon. A.O. Babalola and co-sponsored by Hon. Y.O. Adebisi, Hon. B.G. Adebayo, Hon. O.A. Omikunle, Hon. G.J. Oyekola, and Hon. A.I. Shittu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Speaking on the motion, Hon. A.O. Babalola emphasized the critical role these humanitarian organizations play in shaping young minds by instilling discipline, leadership skills, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He urged the state government, through the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, to take the necessary steps to reinstate these organizations across public schools in the state, noting that their presence would enhance moral education among youths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Hon.
