Saheed Adesegun Bankole (SAB) has officially declared his intention to contest for the Lagos State House of Assembly seat representing Eti-Osa Constituency I in the 2027 general elections.
The declaration ceremony, held at the weekend, drew a large crowd of party faithful, political stakeholders, traditional rulers, artisans, market men and women, members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), residents’ associations, and representatives of Arewa, Ndigbo, and South-South communities within the constituency.
Speaking at the event, Bankole also used the occasion to mobilise support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the forthcoming elections, calling on residents and party members to remain steadfast in their support for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He commended the leadership of the APC, particularly Engr. Omoba Murphy Adetoro, a member of the party’s Governance Advisory Council (GAC), for his contributions to the growth and unity of the party.
Bankole appealed to APC members to support his ambition during the party primaries, stating that his candidacy is built on integrity, visionary leadership, and sustainable development for Eti-Osa Constituency I.
According to him, his aspiration is driven by a desire to provide “a new voice and a stronger future” for the constituency through quality representation and people-focused governance.
He added that the support of party members at the primaries would pave the way for transformative leadership capable of delivering meaningful development and progress to the people of Eti-Osa.
The declaration was held under the theme, “Declaration of Interest to Contest for Lagos State House of Assembly 2027, Eti-Osa Constituency I,” with emphasis on vision, leadership, service, integrity, development, and progress.
