American superstar and Grammy Award winner Ciara Princess Wilson has returned to Lagos, Nigeria, as part of a cultural visit celebrating the city’s growing global influence in fashion, tourism, and art.
The visit coincides with the 15th anniversary of Lagos Fashion Week and was announced by Lagos State Governor’s aide, Jubril Gawat, on X.
Accompanied by the Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Toke Benson-Awoyinka, Ciara toured cultural landmarks, including the Balogun Market, and attended art exhibitions dressed in a striking blue Adire gown and headwrap.
In a video shared online, the singer expressed her admiration for Lagos’ transformation, saying: “When I used to land, I used to see dirt roads; now what I see is pavement. Lagos has evolved.”
Her visit marks a continuation of Lagos’ cultural diplomacy drive and reaffirms its reputation as a creative powerhouse in Africa’s fashion and entertainment scene.
