NPC Chairman Nasir Kwarra Steps Down After Five-Year Tenure

The Chairman of the National Population Commission (NPC), Nasir Kwarra, has officially concluded his five-year tenure, handing over leadership to Muhammad Dattijo, the Federal Commissioner representing Niger State. Dattijo will serve as Acting Chairman pending the swearing-in of Aminu Yusuf by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The brief but symbolic ceremony was held at the NPC Headquarters in Abuja, attended by Commissioners, Directors, and staff members.

In his farewell remarks, Kwarra expressed deep gratitude to his colleagues and subordinates for their cooperation throughout his term, emphasizing the Commission’s strides in data digitization, civil registration, and preparations for the forthcoming National Population and Housing Census.

The event ended with emotional tributes, presentation of a farewell gift, and a group photograph marking the leadership transition.
