Ibadan North Needs a Local Government That Truly Works – Alalade
House of Representatives aspirant for Ibadan North, Ademola Alalade, has called for a more effective and people-focused local government.
Speaking on grassroots development, Alalade stressed that governance must begin where it matters most—among the people and their daily lives.
He described Ibadan North as the heartbeat of Oyo State, noting that residents deserve a government that delivers real impact.
According to him, a functional local government should prioritize quality roads, clean water, sanitation, education, and basic healthcare services.
In addition, Alalade emphasized the need for well-maintained markets, modern libraries, and safe public spaces for recreation and learning.
He also highlighted the importance of community-driven security solutions that ensure peace and protection for all residents.
“These services are not luxuries,” Alalade stated, “they are basic rights every citizen should enjoy without question.”
He pledged, if elected, to partner with institutions to attract meaningful infrastructure projects that uplift lives in Ibadan North.
Moreover, Alalade vowed to push for reforms that bring the constituency closer to global standards in governance and public service.
He urged residents to demand more from their local leadership and work together toward a community that truly thrives.
