The Super Eagles resumed training in Uyo on Sunday behind closed doors as they prepare for their crucial 2026 World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe.
Coach Eric Chelle has imposed strict restrictions on media and visitors, demanding full concentration from his squad. The team, fresh off a 2-0 victory over Rwanda, is focused on securing another win to strengthen their qualification bid.
Chelle emphasized the importance of the upcoming match, stating, “We need to be ready for the next game. My priority is analyzing and improving our own play.”
Nigeria, currently fourth in Group C, must secure a win against Zimbabwe to close the gap on leaders South Africa.
The Zimbabwean squad also trained on Sunday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in preparation for the highly anticipated encounter.
