On Wednesday 19th of March , the Council Chairperson Barr Rekiyah Olufunke Hassan and her team , joined Muslims in Opebi to break their fast .
The event which took place at the Opeloyeru Central Mosque Opebi was attended by the Chief Imam Alh Muritala Ilori, the Alasalatu Women Wing , and other muslim clerics.
Imam Ilori offered fervent prayers for Barr Rekiyah, her cabinent, the community and the council.
In her remarks, Barr Rekiyah apologized for arriving late, explaining that it was due to an official meeting , she encouraged everyone present to feel free to approah her and ask questions , expressing that the council’s door is open and she operates an open door policy.
Barr Rekiyah also promised to do her best and leave the rest, demonstrating her commitment to serving the community.
