CELEBRATING LEADERSHIP: OHANAEZE NDIGBO LAGOS STATE(ONIGBONGBO CHAPTER) RECOGNIZES BARR REKIYAH OLUFUNKE HASSAN’S REMARKABLE WORKS AND HUMILITY WITH TITLE

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State “Onigbongbo Chapter” on Wednesday 19th of March paid a historic visit to the Onigbongbo council chairperson Barr Rekiyah Olufunke Hassan to present her with an award for her remarkable works and humility to mankind.

This gesture was a testament to the organization’s appreciation for her selfless service to the community.

The visit began with an opening prayer by Hon. God’s Power, who explained that the purpose of the visit was to familiarize themselves with the chairperson , as they had not done so since her assumption of the office. He highlighted the organization’s desire to recognize and honor her outstanding contributions to the community.

HRH Eze Tony Anosike in his remarks praised the chairperson’s humility and commitment to serving humanity. He prayed for her and on behalf of the Ndigbo in Onigbongbo LCDA, bestowed upon her the title of “ADA NDIGBO In Onigbongbo LCDA” Meaning. the “The First DAUGHTER Of IGBO “ In Onigbongbo LCDA.

This title was conferred on her as a symbol of appreciation and adoption as the first daughter of Igbo people in the council area.

In her response, Bar Rekiyah Hassan expressed her gratitude for the award and title, stating that this served as encouragement and meant a great deal to her. She reaffirmed her commitment to inclusive governance, and assured the organization that the council is open to accomodate all and sundry.

Mr Kingsley Anyiele representing Ndigbo seized the opportunity to express pressing issues affecting the Igbo community in the area. He urged the chairperson to address the concerns , which she graciously acknowledged.

The event cocluded with a closing prayer by Evangelist Valentine Ohinago Chinagi, marking a memorable day of unity, recorgnition, and cooperation between the Ohanaeze Ndigbo
