Hon. Adeseyi Lawal Distributes JAMB Forms to Students in Ikeja Constituency 1
The lawmaker representing Ikeja Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Adeseyi Lawal, has once again fulfilled his commitment to supporting education by distributing JAMB forms to students in his constituency.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Lawal stated that this marks the second edition of the initiative, which is part of his campaign promises to the good people of Ikeja Constituency 1. He reiterated his dedication to educational development, emphasizing that this is just one of many initiatives he has planned to support students in his constituency.
Hon. Lawal took the opportunity to advise the students to remain focused, dedicated, and determined in their academic pursuits, as education remains one of the greatest gifts parents can offer their children.
Furthermore, he emphasized that the initiative is not limited to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) but is open to all students within his constituency. “We adopted an open policy in the first edition, and we have continued with the same approach this year,” he stated.
During this edition, 250 students will receive JAMB forms, and Hon. Lawal expressed his commitment to expanding the initiative. “By the grace of God, next year, I will increase the number of beneficiaries to 500 students,” he said
Reflecting on the success of the previous edition, he revealed that more than 15 students secured admission into various institutions, thanks to follow-up efforts. He assured that similar support would be provided again this year.
Hon. Lawal also called on parents to encourage their children to take their studies seriously, stressing the importance of hard work and determination in achieving academic success.
One of the parents, Mrs. Omolara Adio, expressed gratitude for the initiative, acknowledging that Hon. Lawal has been consistent in his efforts to support students. She prayed for his continued success and urged students to study diligently so they can pass their examinations and gain admission into higher institutions without having to reapply for the forms next year.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Miss Tobenna Chiamaka Favour extended her appreciation to Hon. Lawal for his generosity and the valuable advice he had shared with them. She assured him that they would not disappoint him in their academic pursuits.
