Boko Haram IEDs Kill Two, Injure Four in Borno

Two people have been killed and four others injured after their vehicle struck Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) suspected to have been planted by Boko Haram terrorists.

The incident occurred on Tuesday along the Harang and Jibhuhwui villages of Hawul Local Government Area in Borno State, as the victims were on their way to Garkida market in Adamawa State.

Confirming the attack, the Public Relations Officer of the Borno State Police Command, ASP Kenneth Daso, stated that the pick-up van carrying six people drove over the explosives, leading to the casualties.

“The IEDs were suspected to have been planted by Boko Haram, and the pick-up van conveying the villagers to the market in Garkida drove over it, causing an explosion,” ASP Daso said.

Security agencies, including the police, have intensified efforts to secure the area and prevent further attacks. Authorities have urged locals to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to law enforcement.
